Thing 18

Wow, again. There are some really pertinent slideshows that I definitely will be able to use in class. I also published one of my own, some of my son's wedding photos from last week in Mexico. Yahoo!

Thing 17

Wow! I really would enjoy Library Thing when I get more time to talk to others about books they have read and ones that I have. The Flashcard site was also interesting. I create flashcards all the time for my Social Studies class.

Thing 16

I can see the usefulness of Google Docs for group work or projects that students are working on, where they can add or edit in real time. I also can see students using Docs to start a paper in school then continue to work on it at home. It all seems so overwhelming, though. It will take some time to process.

Thing 15

This exercise was very frustrating and I don't feel that I was very successful. I got the Detroit News feed on my toolbar but I am not sure if that is where it is supposed to be. In addition, my computer is very slow.

Thing 14
After setting up a Delicious account and tagging some website for school, I'm excited to do more. I am curious to see how this will work at school. Will it be difficult to set up on the school network?

Thing 13
This is one of the more useful ideas this program has put forth. I search the internet a lot for social studies information and useful sights for myself and my students to use. One the other teachers in the district are attached to Delicious, it will be wonderful to see site that they use and share ones that I do.

Thing 12 - I was unable to copy any widgets to my blog. This is very frustrating. It would not accept the format of any that I copied.
