If I was assured that all students had access to a computer, I would put my setting on review posts prior to posting, then I would insist that student send questions to me about classwork and curriculum content, or even personal questions. After reviewing, I would post questions with answers that I think would benefit all students. As far as assignments, I might post relevant discussion questions about topics connected to content. I would require students to respond. My main concern is student access to computers.

Student access is always a big concern. I recently saw a claim that 87% of U.S. students have cell phone access and 73% have high speed Internet at home.
Thats an interesting statistic. I am hoping to start blogging as well with my students and access is always a concern. I am hoping that kids could do this at school more than at home. I am thinking I will start with students doing this in their book clubs to have meaningful conversations.
